Unsaid Words

LaRena Darrow 1980 (Ft smith ark)

You can never imagine this pain
asking myself what you have to gain
The words you said they cut so deep
Keep repeating them as I fall asleep
Worss so sharp they cut like a knife
Asking could this really be my life?
Words that scar and words that burn
Guess I'm finally starting to learn
Words like dust falls all around
they all come in the same sound
Your words hurt even though untrue
Knowing why they come from you

So here is where I'll leave my words
  Unsaid
Ill keep them safe locked inside my
   Head
Pen hits this paper I jot every word
  Down
Its hard to write with these tears &
  This frown

But every painful word you ever said
Will be with me until I'm dead
Its hard to not let you break me
Something you didn't look to see
If I was that weak that you could
  Win
Now your words are different from
  Then

So here is where I'll leave my words
  Unsaid
Ill keep them safe locked inside my
  Head
Pen hits paper I jot every word
  Down
Its hard to write with these tears &
  This frown...
