mama always told me

Mama always told me
girl live your life right
think on your decisions
you only have on life

Reach for your highest
girl try to reach the top
mistakes are in the makings
but goals must never stop

Mama always told me
girl, you'd better think twice
regrets are bitter feelings
there's no reverse in life

If I'd listened to my mama
and took her best advice
I wouldn't be here untying
these knots I've made in life
