I am not afraid
I am not afraid of storms
Storms that sunk the titanic
Storms in our everyday life
The storm that I fear
Is the storm in your eyes
I am not afraid of dark, lonely nights
Dark lonely nights where murder occurs
Dark lonely nights where screams are heard
Dark lonely nights without stars
Dark lonely nights without assurance of tommorow
The only dark lonely night that terrifies me
Is the dark lonely night I won't get to spend with you
I am not afraid of ghosts
Ghosts of the past
Ghosts of the skeletons of life
Ghosts of lost dream
Ghosts of a forbidden passion
The only ghost that can terrorize me
Is the ghost that one day
I'll have to settle for the ghost of you
Since you won't be there anymore
I am not afraid of monsters
Monsters inform of families
Monsters inform of friends
Monsters inform of relatives
Monsters that are creatures
Monsters that we keep in our closet
The only monster that can hunt me is when one day
I look into your eyes
And you would have changed
Then you'd be a monster in my eyes
Scary enough to hurt me
I am not afraid of loneliness
Loneliness when I have to walk to school alone
Loneliness when I sit alone to have my meals
Loneliness when I take coffee
Loneliness when I watch the stars
The only loneliness that I am afraid of
Is when I can no longer have you in my life
Then loneliness would really scare me
About this poem
This poem shows the storms we face in love and nothing in this world makes a person weak like the person they love and that drives the mood of fear.
