Descension

Aphrodite Little 2006 (Colorado)

You know they say
Once you hit rock bottom
You can only go up.
But they lied.
See, I've fallen through the floor
landing on the rockiest of bottoms
Time after time.
And after a while,
It gets very old.
I start to climb back up.
I think that I am making progress
But the walls I must climb,
The damn walls.
They're so unstable.
One misstep,
One small mistake,
And f*ck.
Im casacading back down,
Lower than before.
Stuck in a seemingly bottomless pit
Of utter hopelessness,
Wishing I had wings.
