I, You
Come and sit beside me,
Your hand in mine.
I am you,
We are we.
Separate beings,
As different as creation allows,
Fitted effortlessly together.
Here, is home,
Not a frame with doors, and walls, and windows,
But as simple as the weight of your hand in mine.
A divine thread, woven two together,
Tied up in messy tangles that will never undo.
But it is calm, it is quiet, it is peace.
Life is a long and arduous journey,
Lesser though, for those who can look to each other,
And see that they are already home.
