I'm Sorry

Love is a very complicated thing, unlike lust which is nothing but sin.
Once you're in love it becomes so deserting, it even makes it more hurting.
Love isn't always what it seems, don't get caught up in your personal dreams.
Love is a persistent mystery because there are things you usually don't see.
Because its like you're a drowning gull flying over the sea.

You make think that your love cannot be truer, but it is only on the first stage and it will not bloom so soon.
I am sorry that this love cannot be, but you and me do not make the right recipe. Friends we can be but no more. I am sorry to leave you so sore. I wish you the best of all things, but its not as easy as you may think.

Once again, I'm sorry this cannot be. I hope you can see and understand that our love cannot stand, because you and me are like two pearls lost in the sand.

About this poem

This poem was written in late 2006 when I originally submitted it, however it seems I was supposed to follow up after it was chosen for a contest and since I was so young it looks like it got lost in translation. Here it is again!
