America (My Country, ‘Tis of Thee)
This country, ’tis of Thee,
Cursed Land of Liberty
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the killers’ pride,
From every mountain side
Let Justice ring.
My lynching country, thee,
Land of the fake free,
Thy prophecy I love;
You love your rocks and rills,
Your woods and templed hills,
My heart with despair fills
Like that above.
Let truth swell the breeze,
And shout from all the trees
Lying Freedom’s song;
Let truthful tongues awake;
Let all that believe partake;
Let’s silence their noisy break,
The sound all gone.
Their dollars’ God to Thee,
Enemy of Liberty,
To that they sing,
No longer may their land be bright
With targeted deceitful light,
The timing is just right
Tiny Satan, their King.
The horrid Land to-day,
‘Above Economics sway,
Falls downward still.
Its learning never fair,
Whose bounties none may share,
It’s sad they’re everywhere
Only just to kill!
Thy captivity, Liberty,
The school shall never be,
Our Nation’s lie!
All righteous hands shall smite,
While with encircling might
None here are taught the Right
Without Truth allied.
Beneath Hell’s vicious will
The stars of dying still
Our course does stay;
In confusion sublime
With deception do we climb,
Triumphant over Time,
Until judgement day!
False birthright of our sires,
Our wars and our fires
Pretending we’re still pure!
Our starry flag unfurled,
Enemy of all the world,
With oppression it’s pearl,
God will undo Her!
About this poem
An activist is a person who campaigns for some kind of social change. When you participate in a march protesting the closing of a neighborhood library, you’re an activist. Someone who’s actively involved in a protest or a political or social cause can be called an activist. A revolutionist is someone who wants to change the world — not just sitting around talking about it, but actually doing something to bring about change.
