Don't Want To Grow Up

Shawnice Pate 1991 (Brooklyn)

I am eight years old. No redemption attached, attending what it must be done. Knowing where I came from, grown ups' maturity get robbed like a pack of gum. We play on the playground more effectively than people have mistresses drastically. Confidence isn't an issue, don't get me started on what Mental Illnesses does to you. Immature tendencies is what they got, dissing each other faster than Cheaters in a parking lot. Knowing these things I don't want to grow up. Seeing these things makes me want to throw up. Jot it down on the dotted line, each rhyme with lemon and lime. Must be sucking lemons, if you can't truck them faster than denim. Thinking to be immortal is what we believe, wearing our beliefs on our sleeves.
