Time

As the day comes to end, nightfall begins.
Fast pace without a moment to breathe.
And yet we wait for night to fall upon us.
Seeking refuge in the starring sky’s embrace.
For it is the never ending hustle of humanity changing.
Rushing through the crowd of diversity in all its forms.
To do the same thing yet again the next day, and the next, and the next...
Always too late, yet never too soon to enjoy the simplest of pleasures.
Intimidated by the very friend and foe... TIME.
TICK, TOCK,TICK,TOCK... TIME...

Ever so slowly but quickly slipping by.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because I was in a recent car crash while I was taking my two little girls to school. I realize that time can be given or taken at any moment.
