"The Car"
It is stuck in the lot
Like a tiger in its cage
The sun making it steam hot.
It has not been bought
Left its owner in a pit of rage
It is stuck in the lot
The seatbelt tied in a tight knot
Next to a tree growing tons of sage
The sun making it steam hot
Sitting in its same old spot
Just hoping someone would engage
It is stuck in the lot
Maybe the owner had just forgot
The car just sitting on top of the stage
The sun making it steam hot
The sun reflecting onto that same dot
The emptiness of the rain gauge
It is stuck in the lot
The sun making it steam hot
