Lost

I am lost

I am lost with you
I am lost without you

I am lost in the feelings of love.
But terrified of telling you anything that I feel.

I thought there was this unspoken understanding between us.
On how we work.
The physical attraction, the addiction to each other.

Years went by without a word from you.
Then, you said hey again, and everything has confused me since.

I’m overthinking everything I say and overanalyzing everything you say.

I can’t go a day without thinking of you
A night without dreaming about you

Things are getting complicated
We’re dancing around the words in the air
Too afraid to ruin what we have

I can’t tell you all the things that go through my head

I can’t tell you that I had always felt safe in your arms
That cuddling you was the best stress reliever
Or how I wish I could fall asleep in your arms
Pulled into your chest I always felt at peace

My head is lost as to what to do
My heart knows it wants you
