In Every Life

There are a thousand
Pieces in the puzzle of
Each life, every one
Used only once but
Picked up over and over
As we try to find its
Place in the picture,
It is not a game but
There is time for fun,
Laughter and smiles,
Sometimes, a piece
Just won't fit and we
Have anger, tears, a
Person passing through
Might stop to pick up
A part dropped and sit
To help for a while, it is
Still our jigsaw, some
Complete theirs faster
While others linger for
Extra years over those
Final pieces, one
Thousand pieces make
Up each life, enjoy every
Step until it is done.
