Lost Soul

Knife in its throat,
Dagger through the heart,
Rotten to the bones,
Mind ripped apart.

Screaming in pain,
Lying in fear,
Everyone could hear,
No one came near.

Broken fractured body,
Laid on the ground,
Surrounded by many,
None made a sound.

All stood in silence,
The earth stood still,
The silent eyes watching,
The pain none could feel.

Waiting in agony and pain,
Was all he could do,
The few moments remained,
For him to go through.

Seasons went by,
Snow covered the ground,
No one came near,
He was trapped and snowbound.

For days and days,
In pain, he kept thinking,
"Were people in fear?,
They dare not come near".

Years went by,
He laid on the ground,
Coming from the distance,
At long last he heard a sound.

Finally he thought,
"At last, I'll be saved,
My soul would be free,
For years was I depraved".

"Why wasn't I dead?"
In fear he did wondered,
Already in hell,
His soul had surrendered.
