Earth we hate

Mr.apocalapse 2006 (Seboygan)

We live on you you keep us safe
We tear you up we rip your face
You give us food you give us life
And yet we humans still decide
To burn you down to kill your soul
Our hearts are black like our burning coal
Which we yous to carve a hole
Through the ting that we call home
And if we stop it may just do
But if we don't there's no more me
and no more you

About this poem

t's hard to live and not see the effects on the habitat or ecosystem made directly by the actions of us humans. I moved to the woods for about 2 years then I came back to the city and only then did I start noticing the excessive amounts of trash junk everywhere .one other thing I started noticing to the number of homeless people there were always there I just never noticed and this poem is basically my realization put it few words for many to understand.

This is powerful, and graphic. The writer's obvious strong feelings of frustration and sadness are clearly seen.

The author's name iis ironic because the term "Apocalypse" actually means good news for the earth. Jesus prophesied that - in our generation - "God will bring to ruin those ruining the earth" - Revelation 11.18

    Well written.
