Why

If I prayed at night my heart would believe to bring me to a point of relief. So many things whirling around in the world. My son going to rehab stating he was an addict and getting a sobriety chip. On those days I smiled feeling as if one day at a time was a definite fit. The one day his life turned backed to the cell and I drowned in sorrow because he relapsed and made a mistake. I saw all judgment upon him like he was always nothing but a complete snake. Such lies of what others can see or feel when there are no more chances until years to see a older man with a gray beard. Mama always tells him to hold his held up high while he tried to be a rapper a priest a construction worker to try and succeed and named him devin which means poet but in all reality through the years nobody really knows him. I just keep praying for a chance which we don't always get but maybe someday either I or him will knock on the door and find better friendship. Someday we will both look in the ocean and remember our faults and see our reflection but then walk away knowing in this world we gave our hands to people and prayer and we were meant for something.
