Half-empty cup made full

Half-empty cup made full
Psychological twistings
Of my dry heart and wet eyes
You see through
The feel-alright lies
You set my soul ablaze
I'm consumed by love
This tattered life formerly razed
Burned to the core
Burned to the ground
Once again, my eyes have been opened
I look all around
I now see what was missing
The colors of her world
And the sounds of new love
She is much more than human
A winged angel from way above
The nectar of her voice
Soothes this parched throat
Her wings cover us from dark times
And take us far away
Waterfalls and soaring birds
My bitterness washed clean
Her love is an ocean
Where the setting sun gleams.
