The Beginning Of Light

The Beginning Of Light

I see the beginning of light drawn
By the power which wrought
The dawning of the first dawn –
Whose existence is only a thought.

I hear a voiceless thunder,
Commanding the void to mark
The bringing forth of wonder
From the vanquished and vanishing dark.

I know solidity and separation.
I feel the barriers of Time,
And the luminous soul’s preparation
For the magnificent and the sublime.

I see worlds and ages spinning –
Eternity dancing in space.
And, each end is a new beginning;
Each life an instance of grace.

I am loneliness lost in the majesty
Infinitesimal, unsteady, unsure;
But, I’m part of that shimmering tapestry –
Its frontiers and its sacred core.

I am one with all laughter and sorrow.
I’m the faces you miss when they go.
I will hold you in some bright tomorrow.
I was here for you eons ago.

I am force. I am forceful. I am meek.
I’m roaring oceans and gently flowing streams.
I’m a teardrop running down your cheek.
I’m the muse inspiring your dreams.

I am ancient starlight traveling free.
I’m worlds colliding, merging, new.
I’m part of everything, and everything, part of me.
But, all that I am is nothing without you.
