Tsundere

Here in the palm of my hand
Sits a box
Sealed up tight with a key
Nowhere in sight
It's my heart
That it holds within
Yet it remains unreachable
Please don't get too close
The bridge beneath your feet
Is up in flames
Take just one more step
And you too will be consumed
Run away while you're still able
However adamant that you become
Do not fret
This is only the beginning
Of a story I've left incomplete
Here in the palm of my hand
If you take a closer look
Things are not as they seem
My heart is frozen
Yet there's warmth inside
Fatal on the surface
For reasons I will not unravel
It is but only a mirage
I assure you
It's just a ruse
In all honesty
I am pleasant at my core
Here in the palm of my hand
Lies a secret within my grasp
That I can no longer keep
Here inside this box
My heart displays only a misconception
Please hold me close....
