today again

Free verse
i start
my day begins
with His Love

i walk
my hat blows off
again
i secure the chin
strap sliding
the wooden ball
in place

where i belong
in His Mercy
grateful another
night has ended
His

Light streams
in on sun beams
holding me
up another one

i stroll home
again
each morning jumping
over puddles

like a cat afraid
to get his paws wet

i live
in His Compassion
