NO TIME, NO TIME, NO TIME

RUFINO BUSANTE 1939 (BARUGO LEYTE)

I knelt to pray but not for long
I had too much to do
Must hurry off and get to work
For bills would soon be due
And so I said a hurried prayer
All through the day I had no time
No time to speak of Christ to friends
No time to give to those in need
No time, no time too much to do
   That was my constant cry
At last, it was time to die
And when before the Lord I came
I stood up with downcast eyes
Within His hands He holds a book
The Book of Life, it was
He looked into the book and said
    Your name I can’t find
I once was going to write it down
 But never found the “TIME”.

About this poem

"No Time, No Time , No Time " is a reflection of how busy people are that they neglected things spiritual. On the day of reckoning the soul of every mans faces the Lord's judgement.
