End of Humanity? ~ A take on War

Fear has crept,
And taken over his identity.
It feels as though,
He's been stuck here for eternity!

Can someone help him,
While he tries to stand on his broken knees?
Can someone hold him,
While he topples and falls flat in his own blood?

Why does his cry go unheard?
Why is no one able to hear his silent screams?
Why does no one pay heed to his helpless whimpers?
Why does by death, no one seems to be bothered?
