Moonlight Shivers

Got to go and head for the moon
I went outside and heard the loon
I know it is not midnight nor is it noon
So I may be mistaken and heard a goon

So will go back outside one more time and see if it is just a shadow or a night time moon
It is just a sliver
So it might make me shiver
The night has just begun
So I will go out side and try to run

That might hurt my legs
Or it might make me lay an egg
Which if that happens it will be a yoke all over my face
And I will not even have a shoe with a lace.

About this poem

This is about the experiences of a cold winter night in a last quarter of a moon phase and how it affects my outlook on life.
