Gloomy Childhood

I was awaken one day, believing about happy endings,
I've been a fan of fairytale and a happy ever after,
Watching how the princes loved their princesses,
Witnessing their bravery in fighting for their feelings.

I hopped, I giggled, I smiled every time it ends,
Desiring about the same scenario when I arise,
Butterflies in my stomach or birds singing,
But that was all a big dream behind everything.

I was a servant with no life of a princess,
I ain't destined to be loved by a highness,
I was a kid, with an ambition of being served,
For my story was tough and I work to live.

Parents abandoned this little girl, with clamant cries at night,
Care was not favored and love was deprived,
I had no friends and had no luck to stray around,
And that's why I'd love to live in fantasy much.

Children loves to be happy and astound,
When some was hurt due to a wound,
I was harmed because life screwed me up,
What a gloomy childhood for an innocent grown-up.
