The Path to my Solace

I navigate this landscape forever incomplete, Searching for answers, reasons, realities that elude my understanding. Torturing my psyche as I struggle to complete this truth that never reveals itself, Never illuminates the dark, never assuages my doubts.

I've settled for piecing together fragments, bits here and there, To create a narrative to settle my need to know. Divining a life, never real, possibly conjured, always empty,

For You aren't in it, that absence cutting, sharp.

Lost, I am, first to You, then to my follies, and now to this life, As I've felt a thousand times over a thousand lifetimes prior. Yet I am caught in the Vow I made, when creation began, To chase, to never give up the unification of One Soul...

And so, I continue, I travel this road undaunted,

I seek and bleed for my convictions.

Why? Because nothing else matters, nothing compares, To being sheltered in Your presence, to the connection of You...

About this poem

Something I wrote while thinking of recent times and a loss that has affected me. Words just came out. Very therapeutic!
