Almost Home

I am traveling on my journey,
Do you want to come along?
I am going to that eternal city,
Like no other has been seen.

I”m going there to see my Savior,
and to see my Mother who left me
Many years ago when I was born.
My journey is a very sad story
But it gets better as I travel on.

For now I’m old and one thing I know
My angels have been flying near me
On my journey that has been so long.
They say that there that in that city,
That all the streets are paved with gold.

But I don’t care I just want to meet my Savior,
I just want to meet my Lord.
And see  my home prepared for me.
Where there is no sadness, disease or care,

God’s light is always shining there,
Seems that I hear the angels singing,
Singing praises to the Lord, eternal joy
And gladness and no night time
Can be found there, only peace and love
And all that is bright and beautiful.

As I travel on my journey you must want
To come along For my friend there is no other choice
To be our eternal home. So I’m traveling on,
It won’t be long, coming home where I belong,

Praise the Lords for salvation,I once was lost, but now I see
Now that I am on heavens road I won’t turn back, I’m going home,
Jesus and my Mother, friends and family are all waiting for me,
Old and tired so many years that I have traveled,
I surely must be almost home, almost home I will make it in.

Almost home, yes I Am almost home.  And I can hardly walk
But when I arrive home  I will be healed of my infirmities,
Strength and a new body will be given to me,
For in God’s city all is perfect and fine,

And God’s blessings will all be eternally mine.
And that is the reason I keep traveling on.
Almost home now., yes I am almost now
No more death sorrow or pain

I can hear the angels sing and I can see,
Jesus  waving to me, for the wedding feast
Is almost ready so do not be late for you
Will not get into the wedding feast of the Lamb.

I am hurrying now. I am so close, almost home.
Almost home where I belong.
