Tell Me What You See

Look into my heart and tell me what it is that you see
Is it a complex lock, one I which only you have the key

Or do you see confusion and complete and utter darkness
So much so your first reaction is to say f*ck this

Or do you see me for what I am; a man among men
A man who made mistakes; a man that’s not above sin

Look into my heart and you will see a victim of my own circumstances
If you look deep enough, you’ll see I took a chance to make a chance

A chance I made for all the little ones that will come after me
So again, I ask, look into my heart and tell me what it is you see

With my eyes wide open this life forced me see that I had no choice but to be
What I needed to be that both the deaf and blind couldn’t help but see…me

Now armed with this new perspective, are you ready to embrace and run this race
Are you prepared to look at them with wide open eyes face to motherfucking face

With this new freedom you now know that being strong means doesn’t mean being wrong
Simply put it means looking into my heart and understanding my heart just made you strong

Still confused; still not understand in the devilish words I speak? Well, that means you are just weak
You have not plateaued; you need to a deeper understanding before you heed these words I speak
