DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO (THE LAUGH’S ON YOU)

Steve Hardman 1956 (Manchester)

DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO
        (THE LAUGH’S ON YOU)
FAMILIES IN DESPAIR WITH A GOVERNMENT SO UNFAIR
WHEN THOSE IN CARE SETTINGS ARE UNABLE TO HUG,
DUE ONCE AGAIN TO THIS DESPICABLE BUG
THOUGHTS OF COVID 19 FILLS THEM WITH FEARS
WHILE STANDING OUTSIDE, BRINGS THEIR LOVED ONES TO TEARS.
IT WAS MPs WHO MADE MIXING AGAINST THE LAW
NO MEETING, NO GREETING AND NO BEING HEARTY
YET THESE SAME MPs WITH THE PM IN TOW
ALL APPEARED TO BE HAVING THEMSELVES A PARTY
YET AGAIN ONE RULE FOR THOSE IN POWER,
LEAVING THE UK PEOPLE WITH A TASTE SO SOUR
WHILST OUR BELOVED QUEEN MOURNS AFTER PRINCE PHILIP DIES
THESE DISRESPECTFUL MPs JUST WANTED TO PARTY WITH BOOZE AND PIES
SHAME ON THEM FOR THEIR ABUNDANCE OF LIES.
