My Madness

Jay Ford 1984 (Youngstown, Ohio)

I can never figure out why I feel so down.
Bright smile on the outside, but inside I frown.
I've got it a lot better than most.
But I feel like my shoulders carry the weight of the east coast.
Besides death, life's only guarantee is change.
I know this cause who I was and who I am now aint the same.
Incapable of ever feeling the emotion of love again.
My heart only bleeds out thru the ink in my pen.
If silence is golden, then why is it worthless?
To a man with something to say, it has no purpose.
I stand alone as I stare into the eyes of the serpent.
Destroying the good with the evil is inadvertent
Divide my mind into 4parts.
It changes like the seasons. Where one ends, another starts.
A continuous cycle that bends and then breaks
Till my mind shatters on the ground.
Each memory a shard.
