We'll dance again my friend

Soaking up the sun and listening for birds,
Resting among the red and yellow flowers.
This Saddening feeling I can't put into words.
My  nonverbal communication speaks in showers.

Showers that pour heavily from my sorrowed eyes.
My heart invaded by societies ingorant theives.
Each tear I fight against governmental lies.
Won't be comsumed in what the powerless believes.

Alone I watch the flowers wither into dust.
I miss my friend who used to appreciate them with me.
Mandatory conformity is essentially unjust.
I've been deceived because freedom isn't free.

Stripped of my loyalty from a promise I can't commit.
Deemed a liar when I said I'd see you soon.
Deep inside I know your heart will not forget.
No need to be consciously attune.

I desperately wish there was more that I can do.
I truly hope your heart will understand.
I sincerely didn't mean to abandon you.
My surrender is at nobody's command.

I'll remain hopeful that we'll dance again my friend.
Won't reserve this happiness for another.
Courageously I'll fight until I've reached the end.
I'll see you again, be it in this life or the other.
