I'm tired

Desmond muzite 2002 (Rusape)

elders please give me my chance so I can tell those ones who got the chance to be at the top who were lucky to climb to the top and taking this chance as it was their wisdom they started suppressing those below them they started spitting on those below them beating their chest with pride. l say no , here clever people you've lost it .

if you were born like everyone else, if you dropped your navel like everyone else. excuse me all  those who dwell on this earth don't fool yourself entertaining yourself with lies don't cheat yourself bossing over everything don't cheat yourself championing everyone

those you oppress
those you suppress
their crying are powerful prayers to the heavens and one knows the reply nor the day it will come

if it was me setting there
if it was me there
l would shout calling my kinsmen
A meal has been prepared here chrestars come all come and feast
whatever you got eat with your folks

if there is something you've kept for me father please may l have my share while still alive
lord look, lm being worm out like a clothe by those with money while l've nothing. my heart hates that all the time l'm the one being slaved why lord

if it is possible lord, can you have a meeting with your angels and blow us some blessings for the poor people

my mother wants to thank me me but she nolonger know to chant my totem what can l give her so that she can thank me

A tooth is came chrestars
they will smile at me as if they like me but inside burning to see me eating gravy
they like seeing me wearing rags
they want me to lead a life of begging
they are evil and only wanted themselves to eat

About this poem

Just watch me growing up and l will be looking for answers. it is a lie to believe that we're free when we live in hell. We used to have much faith and hope on this part but they betrayed us
