freedom

freedom is everything,
devoid of it, we are like a body
without mind and heart.

The virus is silent among us
ready to enter our bowels
to make us prisoners and dig our lungs

let's defend ourselves from fear, its first ally,
we go out and be careful, but our habits
has managed to change, freedom has become a risk

let's face this new way of life
prudent, cautious, cautious, prudent,
we can't hug anyone anymore

we must forget our affectionate way
our expansiveness as Italians, we cannot
having aperitifs at the bar with friends

no parties, no gyms, no cinema, no concerts,
no gatherings ..
but I take refuge in the woods to embrace the trees.
