Set up quickly: Harris County Police

Set up quickly
By the HPD
They had a warrant
Right here don’t you see
Fabricated charges
We’ll read em to you
Open up your door
Or were busting through

Your a bunch of fucking criminals
It’s plain to see
Setting me up
Munoz your deputy
Contract him out
Whore him in the streets
Neighborhood watch
Homeland security

Down went the door
It went with a bang
Where you at
In unison they sang
You can kiss my ass
But if I turn you down
Don’t get any ideas
When I turn around

Hot was the attic
On the bright summer day
Minutes rolled on by
They decided to stay
We just want to talk to you
I have little to say
Think I’ve seen this crew before
What are these games you play

Well hell don’t shoot me
I’m coming on down
Your a bunch of fucking criminals
In this lawless town
Making breaking laws
It’s what you do
But wait I have some evidence
I saved it for you

That’s implausible
Though it happens everyday
The crowd had gathered
Looked like a parade
VA flags a flyin
It wasn’t Veterans Day
Here come a ambulance
No the bullet had not strayed

I’m not going
To your looney bin
Your out of your mind
I will shout it out again
Trying to escape
A trial don’t you know
I want my day in court
I will have it I hope so

Well fine son
It appears
You are quite sane
You can sit in the back
What was your name
Well I am Keith
From the lankford clan
We sailed many ships
In many foreign lands

Why don’t you
Just beat me in the streets
Like any other n*gger
In Houston that you meet
Crowd looked on
Sayin you should settle down
They’re just here to help you
Your going downtown

Judge looked at me
We have some help for you
Don’t think I need any
I’ll tell you what I’ll do
I’ll defend myself from the defense
Offered from you
Lower my bail
Its what you need to do

Forty to thirty thousand
Down went my bail
Up to the waiting room
Slower then a snail
Hard cold chairs
Stories told real well
They were all innocent
Oh shit oh hell

Up to the pod
They took my sorry ass
Dumb ass white boy
You think your gonna last
Well I just might not
But I think I’ll tell you fast
As I’m going down
I wont be kissing ass

Bunk on top
They appointed it to me
All Mexicans
In row one two and three
Some from El Salvador
Some from the streets
When the food comes around
Better grab it or not eat

Tear drops falling
In a pod with little light
Not a lot of crying
Every thing was all right
We just want right out of here
We want to be free
Our consciences are clear
To you we plead

Freemo, Williams
Chester is that your name
Yes it was
And chess was his game
They really played well
If you had the time
Taking their pieces
As they took mine

Pecore my man
Looking after me
Here’s some soap for you
And here’s some TP
We don’t roll like that
You can shower if you please
Do you need some food
From the commissary

Everybody talking
Every day and every night
From morning to noon
Well into the night
Fighting scrapping rapping
Some the flow so right
Star was born on videos shown
Dancin under stage light

Jones introduced himself
As I was led in
Funny as hell
That what I said
He looked at me laughing
Out came his hand
Welcome to the pod
My pale skinned white man

Days ate into weeks
The months they passed by
From thousands of miles
A friend he did fly
He brought cash with him
Freedom it did buy
I’ll miss you my brothers
I’ll see you outside

Months ate into years
Speedy trial it’s a lie
Some found freedom
Some in jail will die
Some found jobs
Stopping in to say hi
Thanks for the meal
Ken he is quite a guy

Memory slipping
I forgot your name
I remember your face
So it’s all the same
Will I be alright
In GOD you must have faith
This is what I said to him
As he explained his case

A few more years
Under lock and key
Checking in with you
Can I travel please
Can I do this
Is is ok with you
Well let’s see
We’ll get back to you

Tired of the game
Tired of the crap
Tire of the government
And their crap rap
Tired of the trips
To the court to see
What pathetic deals
You want to offer me

Trading in my innocence
For time already served
Taken from my life
Of freedom well deserved
Trading in my house
Shortly after my release
To escape the deputy
Still wanting to f*ck with me

Back at the start
If we’re running in place
You at my side
Where’d you learn how to race
The gun fires off
For a second I stay
My only weapon my pencil
My sword it hits the page

Set up quickly
By the HPD
Nothing new In Houston
Don’t you see
Corruption it breeds Corruption
They are fucking endlessly
That’s why I left the city
Tired of you loving me
