Isolation
Linda Nichols 1973 (Kings)
When you are facing a sickness , you feel scared and alone. No one can understand, not even the members at home. You don't feel the same and things start to change. You look in a mirror and think you're to blame. I don't want to be a burden or lie around in pain. I just want to feel better and be loved before you knew of the pain. Now I wonder how can I manage, how do I perform my daily routines how do I get my energy back, can you feel what I mean. Can someone sit with me and hold my hand? Then again, only the sick will understand. your facing a sickness , you feel scared and alone. No one can understand, not even the members at home. You don't feel the same and things start to change. You look in a mirror and think your to blame. I don't wanna be a burden or lay around in pain. I just want to feel better and be loved before you knew of the pain. Now I wonder how can I manage, how do I perform my daily routines how do I get my energy back , can you feel what I mean. Can someone sit with me and hold my hand? Then again only the sick will understand.
About this poem
Being sick is scary and only you and your body feel it. You just want to feel better and at the same time your lonely because life moves on with or without you and you wish someone could just hang out and make you feel like you again but asking for someone's time is hard when you feel like they rather be or do something fun and right now your far from fun.
