My Lonely Tree

My lonely tree sits all alone in my yard, empty of love, empty of life. The branches are bare and withered. Life has left, love has faded away.

The rain falls but nothing grows like before. The true life of my lonely tree is gone, never to return. The leaves are green, but not as vibrant as before.

My lonely tree sits all alone in my yard because she is gone. She was the true root of my lonely tree. She was the love in the rain. The rain still falls, but nothing grows as before. She was my mom.

My lonely tree sits all alone in my yard.
