For Joey in Memory of Rob

Sandra M Schwartz 1965 (Puerto Rico)

No one ever dies
It is as if once
we know someone
we inhale them
into our soul forever
once they transition
they live on
inside of us
we keep them alive
through the memories
we created together
when we talk about
and celebrate their life
and when we see them again
It will feel as if
we were never apart
