Four Lost Children
Four lost children
With hopes and dreams.
Four lost children
Still lost it seems.
Running from life
Running from love.
One even reaches
For our Father above.
What had we done
So young and so small.
That had caused
Our mother to fall.
Crying and yearning
Even hating ourselves.
Not understanding...
We end up on a shelf.
Building up walls
No one can tear down.
Hiding in fear
Just waiting around.
For someone to come
And make our lives whole.
To show us the good life...
Making up for what was stole.
A sister whose older
Has a family of her own.
Trying to make up for
Where she was thrown.
All reaching for something
Different in life.
The next learning to love
instead of to fight.
A brother whose older,
But younger in mind.
Wants to be rich
When he reaches his prime.
The last is the youngest
But tallest of all.
Six foot three
Not sure where I will fall.
I did something
None of us thought we would.
Graduate high school
We thought none of us could.
All of us hurting
And crying inside.
For the lack of love,
And to much pride.
Whoever is out there
And can hear my plea.
Find the lost children
And set them free...
