When Stars Fall Softly

When a star falls and there is no one to catch it,
When a tear rolls down a cheek and no caring hand to wipe it dry
When a heart leaps for joy
and no one there to see it fly
When a woman gives her heart
and no man there to receive it
When a man looks on the horizon
and no woman to meet him there
When a lover gets lost in the rain
and lightening is but liquid despair
When all the lonely moments end
and the joy of life has now began
