You Saved Me

Ghost 2000 (Western Cape)

When our eyes met,
We stole a glance,
My whole life went on reset,
My soul started to dance,
My heartbeat fast in my chest,
And when our glance broke apart,
My mind couldn't rest,
Cause you found a way in my heart!

I walked on the dance floor,
Trying to find you,
I see you open a door,
And did what my heart told me to do,
I followed you.
When you came back in my sight,
I saw a path of light,
I saw a woman, happy and full of life!

I felt cleansed of my past,
Cleansed of all my sins,
Now I can have a fresh start,
A new beginning.
You set me free,
From being trapped within,
Facing my demons,
To feel that there is more to be exploring!

And when I came over,
I felt so nervous,
But I also felt better,
Because with a smile you gave me reassurance.
When we spoke,
Everything happened so naturally.
My soul awoke,
Because you saved me!
