The LORD Delivers
I will bless the Lord all the time,
His praise always be on my heart;
The ladder to Heaven I shall climb,
In a life that I will restart.
My soul makes its boast in the Lord,
Let the humble hear and be glad;
So that they are in one accord,
Their hearts bring joy and never sad.
O magnify the Lord with me,
And exalt His name together;
Confess to make yourself sin free,
In His temple where you gather.
I sought the Lord who heard me,
And delivered me from my fear;
As He opened my eyes to see,
Showing me how the end draws near.
Those who look on Him are lightened,
Their face shall never be ashamed;
Others hearing will be brightened,
By the Word as being proclaimed.
A poor man cried, and the Lord heard,
And saving him from his trouble;
As he was strengthened by the Word,
Being pulled out of the rubble.
The angel of the Lord encamps,
By those who fear and will rescue;
Giving comfort as he revamps,
Thoughts of a spiritual construe.
Taste and see that the Lord is good,
Blessing the man who puts his trust;
Follow and to do what he should,
Disregarding all earthly lust.
O revere the Lord as His saint,
For those who fear will have no lack;
Perseverance with no restraint,
Rest assured He watches your back.
The young lions lack what they want,
Suffer hunger of what they seek;
Seeking the Lord nothing will taunt,
While being humbled and meek.
