No Perfect Goodbye

Sue LeMaster 1978 (Missouri)

slowly falling, felt this way before,
here I go again, yet this is new.
it wasn't planned; I was fine with no more.
I really can't help loving you!

you never said you didn't love me
nor don't have feelings for me inside.
you just listed the same reasons I also see,
the day you did that, I died.

apparently because of your choices
I can't live with you as such.
but so you know with my loudest voice ---
I can't live without you and your electric touch.

it's not as unbelievable as it sounds
no relationship for me in 6 years,
will make my love and your touch drop me to the ground!
for you I've shed so many tears!

if you leave, it would be detrimental,
you might not know how it feels for my heart...
for you to take it in your hands like that,
blame me for your past; football slam it all apart.
