God, where are you?

Velma R Jackson 1950 (Wadesboro)

God, where are You? I need to know
daily I cry to You, but you seem not to hear
I began to wonder if you are near
I seek You daily and call out your name, where are you? I need to know

Yes I know that we reap what we sow, where are You? I need to know
Can I ever hear You again
God oh God when?
Where are You I neeed to know?

Are You under a bushel, if this is so
Where are You? I need to know
Have You gone from me for a reason
am I like a crop , I'll have to wait to the next season

Can I find You in my bed or find You before I'm dead
Lord , You said seek and I would find, Lord please have mercy don't leave me behind
God where are You? I need to know

Your mercy is ever lasting, maybe I'll find you while fasting
are You in the big blue sky or are You in the brisk wind passing by

My answer came right on time,my child I want leave you behind
I'm right beside you don't you know
Jesus loves you so
He gave his life to set you free
Come my child, come to me
