Shakespeare in the Park

Shakespeare in the Park
Hits the heart

My show-- my pride
The moment I died

The curtains began to close
All my fears were diagnosed

Spectators came and gone
All the surgeries to infinity and beyond

Shakespeare in the Park
In the end it’s bitterly dark

My life-- my ups my downs
Resting deep in the ground

Now’s the time to wow
Eagerly I stand to bow

Death is awfully lonely
Yet amazingly holy

About this poem
