A Prayer of Sorrow

Happiness-
My bird that does not soar,
high into the sky.

Happiness-
My firefly that does not twinkle,
before the ever watching eyes.

Happiness-
My rainbow that does not show,
after the storms of sorrow.

Happiness-
My goal that’s out of reach,
Happiness feels so unobtainable to me.

I can only pray-
I can only pray-
The amazing joy will reach me someday.
