In the year India became independent
My parents married,  became dependent

To each other they are Vitamin supplement
Very well each other they compliment

Simple living and high thinking
Their ship sailed without sinking

My Mother so very emotional
My father tends to be rational

Both are religious and pious
Never is there any bias

Journey might have been an  uphill task
All the pains and hurts under the mask

For us they are always beautiful and bold
Both of them blessed with hearts of gold

They are real love birds
Never said  a word that hurts
