Analysis of to my loving mother

John D. 1974 (california)

my mother lost:

I go to sleep from exhaustion to dream...
dreaming of a better place within this state
I've not looked hard, finally noticing something gone..
my mother lost,
my mother lost,
I feel the hot heat on my face stirring the memories
My eyes open to a horrible and painful nightmare...
to find the birds outside chriping about...
or the soft sounds of the cricketts tune...
waken from and to my nightmare, my mother was found.
she was right there all along, at home,
to comfort me as always.
I hope I do not have to wake from this dream
Unfortunately in time we do...
not ever wake from better dreams
only the Happy ones from time to time...
and days long gone gone soon are lost...

Love you,
John
