Analysis of NeuroLove

E.S. Conway 1985 (United Kingdom)

These words come from my attempt,
At my bachelors degree.
But this is what my brain is doing,
When you look at me.

The endorphins start the flood,
(With a little twist).
A shot of seratonin,
In an oxytocin mist.

Dopamine has a say
and gets in to the mix.
Like cupids cheeky little high,
It's how he gets his kicks.

These are just reactions,
(that I heard from peers above)
Which happen in a persons brain,
Whenever they’re in love.

E.S. Conway

A poet by proxy of therapy. Her works (with only a couple of exceptions) are comprised of poems written in a form of therapy diary, they served for several years as an aid to dealing with situations that may or may not be within the poems themselves. This is also the reason for so much rhyming; though not necessary for poetry, it was part of what made poetry therapeutic for her and so is an almost certain constant. more…
