Analysis of Dog!
Dog-man`s best friend?
Dog, man`s best friend since who know just when,
generally ends up Christened Sam, Bill or Ben,
Butch, Rex or Tiny(even if he`s built like a rhino`)
There`s no other companion-(well,not that I know)
who, one day can be friendly and `sit up and beg`,
then the next cheerfully savage the postman`s leg.
He doesn`t worry about VAT, or tax on income,
his life is eat some, bury some, sleep some.
Each day filled with the odd `forty winks`,
or frightening the life out of poor old Jinks,
a collar is all that is tied around his neck,
he can afford to deal from the `top of the deck`
and be eager to please his master/mistress,
staying loyally by their side in times of distress,
but, after a bad day at the office, at him, don`t rant,
`cos he`ll just `c*ck his leg` and water your plant
and, in arguments, to sides he`ll just not be drawn
he`d rather be digging his favourite bone from your lawn,
or lay there and dream of days when he `staked his pitches`,
playboy pooch `Casanova supreme` to the local b*tch*s!
But,when all`s said and done, no friend can better,
whether spaniel, corgi, plain mongrel or setter,
the love or the joy of a dog in your life........
he can`t answer back like a trouble and strife!?
(`trouble and strife`, Cockney slang-wife)
