Analysis of Lost Control

I woke up this morning lost and confused.
How did I get here? What did I do?
This isn't my life, this isn't me.
I'm drowning in my darkness I cannot see.
You're supposed to be my light and support me along the way.
But you snuffed out my light and stole away my days.
I wanted so much more out of my life.
I had hopes and dreams.
Instead I'm living my life for you it seems.
I lost myself along the way.
Lost the words of my own to say.
You control my thoughts my feelings my world.
And you treat me like a helpless little girl.
I feel like I'm on a carousel spinning around.
I'm convinced my feet will never touch ground.
I want off of this ride I'm busy and want to scream.
This isn't my life this isn't the real me.
You have forgotten me and the person I am.
But it's time to remind you and take a stand.
I am loving caring wild and free.
I am going to show you the original me.
I need to find myself again.
And I think I will start by being my own best friend.
If I lose you along the way.
Then that is the price that I am willing to pay
I'm taking my life back I'm taking control.
Because I've learned that nobody but me can make myself whole.
I've been forgotten and used and thrown away.
So I made up my mind today will be that day.
