Analysis of No more

Katherine Hull 1990 (San salvador)

No more will I beg
Wishing
Wanting
Desiring
For the words to flow through you
To reach me here somehow
No more will I long
To hear you
To feel you
To want you
So many times
I knocked at your door
Waiting ever so patiently
Was there no one home
No one came to me
No more
Will I stay awake
Losing sleep
Over things I can’t change
Did I settle
Did I learn to ignore my flame
The flame slowly burned through the candle
With it all my hopes and dreams
My smile no longer connected
For my soul is broken
To broken
To pretend
To fake
No more
Will I beg you
To utter the words that are to set me free
One day you will wonder
One day you will ask
How I am to be locked away from you
Never did you see
The key was in your hand
No more
