Analysis of Winter Nights

Hold my breath and hold my hand
As we stumble upon this midnight, clear
Steal my heart, we'll steal the moon
And let it warm our numb fingers
/Stay close as Winter invites us in
And we sip on coco and cheer - so bright!
Tell me you'll be there when I wake
At the first slip of morning light

/Could you
Let the fire burn to embers
Let the snow fall then melt away
Let your snow globe drift to its last note
And afterwords, tell me you'll stay?
/If December gets any colder, I'll
Tremble right out of your hands
But for now by the fire, I drink with desire
And eyes fall to sugar plum dreaming
